Parish Council

The Parish Council advises the pastor. It consists of five men, five women, and two youth, elected from the parish, plus a representative from each of the various commissions: worship, education, community affairs, youth, and finance. It meets on the first Wednesday of each month, and the minutes are posted in the rear of the church.

Men's Society

All men of the parish are automatically members of the Men's Society. The yoke is easy and the burden light. The Society usually meets after the 11:00 Mass on the first Sunday of every month. Activities are varied, from Chicken Coop Cookouts and Retreats to spaghetti dinners.

St. Ann Altar Sodality

Saint Ann Sodality was organized for the purpose of promoting the spiritual and material welfare of the members of Saint Mark Catholic Church, and the promotion of sisterly love in the community.

The motto of this sodality is “to serve God through the beauty of his altar.”

Saint Ann Sodality has special events once a year.

In July of 2004 there was an Evangelization, BBQ, Flea Market Bazaar

and

In July of 2005 was “The Virtuous Woman Celebration” which was a grand success.

From September to April every year, we serve dinners on the third Sunday of each month after the 11:00 a.m. Mass Celebration, for the parishioners and the community.

Youth Commission

To promote & foster Christian values; to enhance unity among their peers in collaboration with the church community.

To assist youth to include the gospel in their daily lives; develop and utilize leadership skills, social justice awareness, and promote and understand the importance of a personal relationship with God.

Journeymen

The Journeymen is an organization that allows men to further their understanding and commitment to Jesus. It grew out of the Answer the Call Men's Fellowship. The Journeymen meets on the second and fourth Saturdays from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., which leaves plenty of honeydew time (a necessary part of male spirituality).
